Hello, my husband's date of birth was amended to the correct one by innovate1 as the initial one processed with a wrong date of birth. The passport form, acknowledgment slip and payment receipts all show the correct date of birth now, however, when I tried booking an appointment online, the appointment website was still showing the wrong date of birth. Good day, I enrolled for my NIN April 1, 2023 so that I can renew my passport and renew my study permit that will expire June 27, 2023. Waiting until the last minute is not a good idea. We posted on our latest news section on our website and all our social media platforms over a year now that all Nigerians in the Diaspora are eligible to renew their passports a year ahead of the expiry date. But applicants do not bother to read. It was designed that way to avoid all these last minute rush and panic. We do not control the calendar. It is now centralized and on the Immigration website. You can send an email to generalinquiries to see if we can find a spot.

Hello Respected official, I urgently need your help. I need an emergency renewal of my passport because my ticket date for my trip is on the 16th of July, next month. I have written more than ten emails and one reply got. I have applied for passport renewal, paid, and booked an appointment, the available date is November, whereas my trip is next month. Since the past two weeks that the Portuguese embassy official asked me to contact my embassy for an emergency renewal, I have not been able to reach out to anyone via the telephone, let alone through emails at our embassy's office. I am a journalist, with over 10 years of experience, currently on a Ph.D. study leave, doing two programs, one of which necessitates my next month's trip in a group, to Portugal. I wonder if our good embassy is short staff or not getting enough reimbursement from the ministry back home. We can always help you through our reportage so that you can be fully equipped. We can always assist in getting your concern addressed by the new Immigration chief, acting comptroller general of immigration, respected Adepoju Carol Wura-Ola. I think this will go farther in making the embassy has a desk that will at least pick up a call that is very salient and prompt, maybe, after sending a text message sort of, and the official in charge read and attest that it needs urgent attention, then picks calls and advise, or after reading text/email, view that it is redirection or link provision, as the case may be, will kindly do so accordingly. I understand the influx of people on daily bases, but there must be change, and change is possible. HOPE 2023. Change is possible. You can imagine for the past two weeks, I have needed to talk to someone for guidance and urgent assistance, all to no avail. Taking the American embassy as an example, if you apply for a visa and get a date in 2024, there is an open window that says if you need it urgently, apply for expedited visa application. This is the kind of help I need. I couldn't find any column that says, apply for expedited passport renewal on your official site, the reason I kept sending emails is that maybe someone will magnanimously stumble on my email and kindly be of help. Alas! It's been so pathetic, I don't know what to do. I just need help.
